Bee Products

Bee products possess a very high biological potential. Anyone can try to treat psoriasis with bee products except for people who are allergic to bee products, honey etc.

NOTE! There are people that are allergic to bee venom and sometimes also to honey and to all other bee products.

If you do not know whether you are hypersensitive or not to bee stings before staring any psoriasis treatment that involves bee products, you may want to get a bee allergy test done.

The physician will do a very simple skin test or a Radioallergosorbent Test (RAST).

For example here is how a simple bee venom test is done: the physician slightly scratches or pricks the skin with a needle which is dipped into bee venom dissolved in a saline solution. The reaction to the test will allow the physician to determine whether you are allergic to bee venom or not.

This test can be done with the use of different strengths which will help determine the actual level of hypersensitivity.

Propolis Ointment

Propolis has two origins:

  1. it is a resinous material gathered by bees from trees and buds of aspen-trees, alder-trees, birch-trees and sap flowers
  2. it is a resinous remainder of pollen digestion by bees

Propolis is a resin, which consists of many different substances. Propolis consists of about 55% of resins and balsamic substances, 30% of wax, 10% of essential oils, and 5% of flower pollen. These components are rich in vitamins and micro-elements. The resinous and balsamic substances of Propolis contain brown alcohol, brown acid, and tanning substances.

Bees use Propolis to seal the unwanted open spaces in the hive. Propolis is also a very potent antiseptic. If small mice or lizards find there way into the hive, they will die there and start decomposing, bees use Propolis to mummify these dead bodies.

Propolis ointment for medicinal use can be prepared on any fatty or oil basis, i.e. Lanolin (wool grease) or Pork lard (pig fat). For 100g of fatty base, take 15g of Propolis and thoroughly grind it till the consistency becomes uniform. Propolis ointment is known to treat the sections of the skin affected by psoriasis quite well.

Flower Pollen

Flower pollen is taken by 1 Tsp in the morning 1 hour prior to breakfast and in the daytime 1 hour prior to dinner. Pollen is known to have a very good effect on psoriasis and the overall state of health.

Flower pollen is a very valuable food supplement, which supplies the body with natural vitamin and mineral elements. Pollen contains various elements: sodium, potassium, nickel, titanium, vanadium, chromium, phosphorus, zirconium, beryl, boron, zinc, magnesium, manganese, copper, calcium, iron and others.

Royal Jelly

Royal jelly is taken by 100mg in the morning 1 hour prior to breakfast and in the daytime 1 hour prior to dinner and put under the tongue to dissolve. Royal jelly is also known to have a very good effect on psoriasis and overall health.

Royal jelly is a special food that honey bees use to feed their larvae. Royal jelly is secreted from special glands in the heads (particularly the throat and the upper maxillary glands) of young worker bees (aged 5-14 days). Bees feed all their larvae with Royal jelly, including the worker bees. But they also feed their larvae with other substances.

When it comes to raising a Queen, the chosen larva for the first 4 days will be fed by large amounts of Royal jelly alone, without any other substances, thus the name "Royal jelly", a substance that is used to raise a Queen bee.

Royal jelly resembles a white gelatinous mass. Royal jelly is very potent in suppressing infections. Because of the special properties of Royal jelly the life of the Queen bee lasts 60 times longer than a usual bee.

Royal jelly is rich with Vitamins B1, B2, B3, B6, B12, and Folic acid; nucleic acids - RNA (Ribonucleic acid - similar to DNA single-stranded acid that encodes genetic information) and DNA (Deoxyribonucleic acid - molecular carrier of genetic information), and bio-stimulants. Royal jelly possesses antiviral (inhibits growth or multiplication of viruses, or kills them), antimicrobial (disinfectant) and antitoxic (counteracts toxins or poisons) effects. Royal jelly also contains an amino acid, which is one of the main components of collagen (natural protein found in the connective tissues that supports the skin). Collagen is a connective tissue of the body, to which are fastened all the main cells. The quality of collagen in essence factors into our health and longevity.
