The Dead Sea, Israel - UV radiation
The Dead Sea is about -422 m (-1,385 ft) below sea level.
What does that mean?
It means that you can spend more time sun tanning with less risk for your skin on the Dead Sea.
The below sea level position of the Dead Sea results in a longer path that the sun rays have to travel to reach the shores of the Dead Sea. That results in that many of the sun's harmful UV rays are reduced and weakened. Patients can tolerate a longer exposure to the sun at a low altitude, and with less harmful effects.
Plus, the sun rays are partially blocked by a misty cloud overhanging the Dead Sea most of the year.
However, we all know that The Dead Sea is not the safest place in the World to go right now, since there is a conflict between Israel and Palestine.
Plus, there is no Doctor Fish SPA at the Dead Sea. At least I have not yet found any.
