Kombucha is a sweetened tea that has been fermented using a macroscopic solid mass of microorganisms called a "kombucha colony".
Propagators of Kombucha claim that this tea fungus is capable of normalizing blood pressure, the level of cholesterol in the blood as well as that it has ability to clean the body from toxins.
Kombucha is very easy to prepare - you just have to put a small piece of Kombucha (it resembles a whitish sponge) - a Kombucha baby - into a glass jar filled with tea (black or green) and keep it in the jar for 10-12 days. Within these days Kombucha will ferment and create loads of beneficial nutrients.

Here is how the propagators of Kombucha recommend removing slags from body with the aid of Kombucha.
How to prepare Kombucha once you got yourself a Kombucha baby? First it is necessary to brew tea - not too strong. Fill a small quantity of dry tea brew with 1.5-2 liters of boiling water. Then cool the tea to room temperature and strain it through a strainer. Place a piece of tea fungus into a clean, well washed and sterilized three-liter glass jar. Fill the jar with the cooled tea. After this carefully add small portions of sugar into the jar. The sugar should settle down on the bottom of the jar but it should not cover Kombucha. The amount of sugar should compose approximately a one- tenth part of the liquid - i.e. 150-200g of sugar in our case. The piece of fungus will start increasing in size and start to surface. In 1.5-2 weeks it may even cover the entire surface of the top of the jar. That is when you may start using the beverage.
Do not forget once in a while to pour more cooled down weak tea into the jar to keep the fungus alive. Remember to pour the tea into the jar through a strainer - the tea leaves should not get into the jar with Kombucha. Periodically add into the jar a necessary amount of sugar in accordance with your taste.
Once every 1.5-2 months Kombucha fungus should be carefully taken out from the jar and washed in water that as been boiled and cooled to room temperature. The remained liquid you should strain through a cotton filter and put it aside. Wash and sterilize the jar (or take a new sterilized jar), place Kombucha fungus back in the jar and pour the strained liquid back into the jar.
If we do not wash Kombucha fungus, it can go bad. Only the transparent Kombucha liquid is suitable for use. And one other thing: you should not keep the tea fungus in bright light or in a cold place.
The liquid of tea fungus activates metabolism (sum total of all processes in the body and its cells, such as when foods are turned into energy, tissue, and waste products), stimulates the formation of the enzymes, which participate in digestion, helps to disintegrate fats, as well as helps to derive the excess liquid from the body, because Kombucha is great for the purification of body from slags. It is possible to achieve purification by simply drinking 2- glasses of the liquid daily.
Kombucha Diet
In order to help the body thoroughly clean the slags it is advised to undergo a 2-day Kombucha diet.
Chose 2 days per month and try to completely dedicate them to purification. The day before those 2 days say to yourself approximately the following: what I intend to do is a great good for me, it will bring to me health and happiness.
Get loads of different herbs for brewing of tea, various vegetables, fruits, and grains.
During these 2 days drink 3 times a day before food (approximately an hour before food - on an empty stomach) a glass of Kombucha.
Eating during these 2 days:
Breakfast: porridge made with water without salt and sugar from the grains. For the porridge preparation use wholegrain (rice, millet, buckwheat);
Lunch: vegetable salad without seasonings; use any vegetables - cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, beets, horseradish, green salad, lettuce, with the exception of potatoes.
Dinner: any fruit: apple, pear, banana or orange.
Besides the liquid of tea fungus drink a lot of water, fresh juices, and herbal teas.
If you want to strengthen the cleaning effect, after dinner also drink 1 glass of herbal tea, which facilitates the purification of the bowels.
Teas for bowel purification:
1. flowers of mallow (1 part), leaves of nettle (3 tea spoons), flowers of lavender (1 part), senna leafs (3 parts), herb of fumitory (5 parts). Mix all the ingredients, fill 1 Tbsp of the mix with 1 glass of boiling water, and keep in a thermos for 2-3 hours.
2. buckthorn crust (2 parts), walnut leafs (1 part), fruits of coriander (1 part). Mix all the ingredients, fill 1 Tbsp of the mix with 1 glass of boiling water, and keep in a thermos for 1-2 hours.
