Conclusion

All fats are extremely important for our bodies.

Fatty acids in the body are converted into other molecules that perform vital roles in regulating numerous body functions.

It's not that one fat is bad and another good; we just need them all in our diet, and preferably in the right proportions.

Dietary Recomendation:

The problem is that the typical American diet provides us with stacks of Omega-6, Omega-9 and Saturated Fats.

At the same time there is almost no Omega-3 in the typical diet.

The nations which do get enough of Omega-3 - the Eskimos, the Japanese and some others - are known to have the lowest percentage of people with psoriasis in the world - less than 1% each.

I am not asking neither myself nor you to say NO to favorite foods, oils etc. I believe that it is better if we instead simply boost the levels of Omega-3 in our diets!

It's possible to quickly boost the levels of the Omega-3 fats in our bodies by starting to take the Omega-3 supplements (Fish oil capsules or Cod Liver oil capsules), or by adding more fish to our diet.

When all the necessary fats are present in our bodies, the balance will be restored and psoriasis may achieve a much better state.

Topical Usage Recomendation:

Some people with psoriasis benefit tremendously from the topical application of oils and fats, be it Omega-3, Omega-6, Omega-9 or Saturated Fats.

Give it a try and learn for yourself if any particular oil or fat will help you topically in your psoriasis treatment.
