Oil Psoriasis Remedies
Oil psoriasis remedies are often used in psoriasis treatment both topically and internally.
In this section I am researching to see if any natural oils or fats (obtained from vegetables, animals, fish etc.) may be beneficial for psoriasis. And if yes, then which ones, and why are they beneficial? Also how to use them - internally or topically?
Note #1: Fats and oils used topically or consumed with foods should not be confused with Essential Oils. Essential oils should not be consumed orally or applied directly to the skin in their undiluted form. Essential oils are used only in Aromatherapy, including for psoriasis treatment.
Note #2: Trans fat and Interesterified fat are usually chemically modified fats, and therefore I chose not to discuss them in this section. Trans fat and Interesterified fat are known to possess more health dangers than benefits.
Fats and Oils
- Fat is a compound that is insoluble in water and soluble in organic solvents, which are present in our bodies.
- Oils are also composed of fat.
- Fat is also known as Fatty Acids.
- On a molecular level fatty acids are composed of chains of carbon (C), hydrogen (H) and oxygen (O) atoms.
