Uric Acid May Protect from Cancer
According to Doctor Lubert Stryer, a neurobiology professor, high Uric Acid levels evolved in humans to replace the functions of Vitamin C and to protect humans against oxidative damages.
Lower primates (lemurs, lorises, tarsiers) have lower serum Uric Acid levels compared to the Higher primates (monkeys, apes, humans), elephants and other long-lived mammals.
Lower primates usually have lower life spans and higher cancer rates than the higher primates.
CONCLUSION 2:
High levels of Uric Acid in the people with psoriasis, compared to the lower primates and to people without psoriasis, may protect the people with psoriasis from Cancer (except maybe skin cancer due to various UV light treatments).
