Climate Change and Psoriasis

Climate Change is a stress for our bodies. Basically, no matter what climate change occurs, our body has to first get used to it.

When a person with winter psoriasis (psoriasis which gets better in the summer) who lives in a cold climate, moves to a warm sunny climate - psoriasis usually starts to improve.

However when moving from a sunny warm climate to a cold climate with little sun, psoriasis may first appear or to Flare Up due to the lack of sun etc.

In some cases moving from a moist climate to a dry climate may cause the appearance or the aggravation of psoriasis due to the unusually dry air which starts to dry the skin.

In other cases moving from a dry climate to a moist climate causes the appearance or the Flare Up of psoriasis, possibly due to more molds in the moist climate, which a person may be allergic to.
