Sex and Health

Our Free Psoriasis Dating Site: Psoriasis-Aid.com / Dating

Sex is known to have many benefits for any human being.

Sex boosts certain very beneficial chemicals and hormones in the body, which leads both to a better mental and physical state.

Good sex (including masturbation) can help to eliminate headaches, to reduce depression, to release tension and to relax one's mind, to improve general health, to help ease joint and muscle pain (very beneficial for psoriatic arthritis), to stay fit, to burn extra calories, and to promote heart health and to altogether lengthen one's lifespan.

Sex leaves you feeling somewhat euphoric, feeling good and relaxed.

Sex with your loved one makes you feel satisfied on all the 3 levels: physical, mental and emotional.

Sex and the Skin (and Psoriasis in Particular)

Sex also possesses benefits for the skin, including providing you with a better skin texture.

Sex benefits for the skin may be very beneficial for the people with psoriasis.

There are positive changes in the pulse, heart rate, blood circulation (reduction in blood pressure following an increase in the blood pressure), dilation of blood vessels and capillaries of the skin, leading to a skin 'glow' and an overall improvement of the state of the skin after sex.

Of course, sex is not a treatment for any disease, including psoriasis, but if you have a good partner with whom you have a good sex life, your psoriasis may benefit just as your overall mental and physical state.

i've had psoriasis since i was 7yrs old, i'm now going on to 26yrs next month. i have cousins with exzema but i'm the only one with psoriasis, and basically i've been living with psoriasis all my life. i have a 3 1/2yr old girl who's as healthy as can be without any skin diseases...now i'm about to get married in a week to this wonderful guy that doesn't care about how my body is how my skin gets due to my psoriasis he's been with me through basically all the stages of psoriasis which has gotten me admitted to the hospital. but he's committed to sticking right by my side with this skin disease, raising my daughter eventhough he's not her dad, and wants to have kids with me.

I started dating the most handsome looking guy ever, smart, tall and fit. I would slip my hand under his jacket but he would grab my hand, as if to pull it away. I think I guessed from the seconds of touch I could feel a roughness under his shirt that he had some kind of skin condition, not that it made any difference to me. He eventually told me that he was suffering from psoriasis. It broke my heart at his embaressment, and I assured him it meant nothing to me, and was genuinely interested in helping in any way I can. I have been seeing him for a few months now and love the way he feels comfortable undressing and allowing me to apply creams etc. We have had sex and its amazing, and why wouldnt it be?...Snuggling upto to him is best part of my day, and look forward to assisting in anyway I can, our closeness is special.

Hi Jordan!

This is great news and I agree with you by 100%.

I’m proud of this extensive website with tons of information and all the great comments but there’s really just one word to say about psoriasis: DIET.

It may be very hard for the people with p. who are not ready for it… I wasn’t ready ~15 years ago, when I got my first book by Pagano, now I am ready and am maintaining the diet (no - gluten, sugar, dairy; yes - lots of fruits and vegetables, water, fish, etc.). Slowly but it works for a fact (which is no wonder if you think about it).

Keep up the great work!

Great article, I'm a 21 year old male who has had p since I was 16 years old. For about 1.5 years I had p so bad it covered me from head to toe literally. I was in agony but determined to beat this disease which I consider a curse. I'm telling anyone with p to NEVER give up hope, you CAN get rid of this stuff, your skin is not supposed to be inflamed or blistered for no reason. There is no "cure" by pharmaceutical definition, but there is steps you can take to get it to a comfortable level to where u even forget u have it! First: eliminate ALL gluten products from your diet, it takes about 3 to 6 months but I guarantee u will see a major clearance of p. Next, EXERCISE!!! It makes a world of difference if you feel good your skin will too. consume a lot less sugar and alcohol, it didnt flare my p nearly as bad as gluten but it still does some. Your skin is basically a backup toxin filter for ur body. You must fix it internally! Stop eating gluten!!!! Experiment with your diet and never give up!
