UVB vs. Psoriasis Biologics - Safety
UVB is much safer than such psoriasis treatment as biologics.
I have personally never tried biologics for psoriasis and I hope I will never have to. Modern biologics for psoriasis, in my opinion, possess too much of the possible side-effects to consider their usage if you have a moderate psoriasis. Biologics are the "most promising psoriasis treatment nowadays", which means that possibly in the very near future they will become very good.
However, now they are plainly dangerous....

Psoriasis Biologics and especially their long-term treatment safety are not completely studied or yet known.

Psoriasis Biologics "mess" with the immune system and affect the body's ability to fight all infections: "light infections" (cold, flu), "serious infections" (tuberculosis etc.), anemia, and possibly even cancer.
Some people worry about the possibility of UVB light causing skin cancer (the risk is similar to that of sun tanning a lot without a screen).
Well, first of all, you do not need to use UVB on a daily basis. Usually after 1 month of treatment you can forget about your psoriasis and about the UVB for about 3-4 months.
And the biologics are usually introduced once a week for at least 12 weeks - that’s 3 months in a row.
NOTE!: Biologics possess a threat of a damaging and hard to treat INTERNAL CANCER, and UVB - a threat of a nearly 100% treatable (if caught early) skin cancer.
